Bribery Bill and Anti-Corruption Breakfast Seminar - 10 November 2009

On Tuesday 10 November, Grant Thornton hosted a breakfast seminar on the pending Bribery Bill and Anti-Corruption in the UK. Guest speakers from the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), Richard Alderman (Director) and Vivian Robinson QC (General Counsel) delivered speeches on self reporting and anti-corruption to a audience comprising senior lawyers of corporates and private practice, heads of risk, internal audit and financial crime. The event progressed onto a lively panel discussion chaired by Sterl Greenhalgh (Partner at Grant Thornton) and featuring John Garred (UK Regional Compliance Officer) of Siemens plc, Peter Burrell (Head of Investigations and Corporate Crime) of Herbert Smith LLP, Homer Moyer (Partner) of US firm Miller & Chevalier Chartered and Bill Olsen (Partner at Grant Thornton US).
