Michael McCusker (Partner)
Mike leads our tax practice in our Glasgow and
Edinburgh offices, and has over 20 years experience advising
companies, individuals and partnerships on all aspects of
taxation.
Experience
Mike joined us at Grant Thornton in 1998. Previously he has
worked in both industry and the profession and has a wide range of
knowledge and experience advising on tax issues affecting SME's,
professional partnerships, private individuals and major quoted
groups.
Michael's expertise covers:
- Tax aspects of group reconstruction, acquisitions &
disposals
- renumeration planning for executives including share options
and share incentive schemes
- Partnership taxation for major professional partnerships &
LLP's covering areas such as LLP conversion
- Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning for high net
worth individuals
- tax investigations and negotiated settlements with HMRC
