Joe is a partner in our Recovery & Reorganisation practice, specialising in mid and large sized corporate assignments, focusing on strategic review, reorganisation and recovery.

Experience

Joe is a licensed insolvency practitioner with over 25 years' experience in recovery and reorganisation work in numerous sectors. Joe is increasingly involved in turnaround and reconstruction assignments, developing these assignments, often multi-phased, into a process that delivers implementation by facilitating change. Joe's collaborative approach, involving the bank, the client, and Grant Thornton, brings about improvements in business performance.

Key assignments and sector experience include: -

Administration of a Tier 2 automotive component manufacturer where the customers were persuaded to underwrite continued trading - Administration of an estate of 30 freehold and leasehold licensed premises with a £31m bank debt. The business was sold as a going concern - Overseeing the management of a troubled residential housing development with a Bank debt of £7m and directors and shareholders in dispute - Administrative Receivership of a group of companies with a bank debt of £10m, engaged in the design, sourcing and wholesale of branded adult and childrens' wear in the UK, USA, Finland, India, and Sri Lanka.

Joe is Grant Thornton's national spokesperson on the football industry and has a particular interest in the financing and management of football clubs
