Roopa Aitken (Partner)
Roopa is an international tax specialist with
significant experience of advising groups on a wide range of
international tax matters and in particular is a specialist in the
area of EU law. She has experience of advising multi-national
groups across a broad range of sectors.
Experience
Roopa has over 17 years of experience of working in the tax
field. Roopa has advised many companies on EU claims and has helped
clients make claims through the tax return and at the courts
including working on a couple of very high profile cases which were
heard at the European Court of Justice. Roopa also has substantial
experience of treaty clearances, inward investment, intellectual
property planning and has led many negotiations with HMRC
International Division on thin capitalisation disputes.
