Sanjiv Sangar (Partner)
Sanjiv is a Partner in the London office. He is a
qualified chartered tax adviser and has advised many of Grant
Thornton's largest clients, both corporate and individual, on UK
and international matters.
Experience
Sanjiv joined us at Grant Thornton in 1997 as a manager in the
tax group. He was appointed Partner in 2001. His sector specialisms
include Engineering and Manufacturing, Healthcare/Medical and
Pharmaceuticals, Media and Retailing. Previously he worked with
Eacotts, Chartered Accountants, in Gerrards Cross
Sanjiv's expertise covers:
- Tax planning for listed and owner-managed businesses
- Designing and implementing tax efficient share and share option
schemes
- Undertaking tax planning for a number of high net worth
individuals including non domicilliaries
- Extensive experience of tax planning for acquisitions and
disposals and, in particular, advising on a number of pre and post
IPO tax structures
- Substantial experience of planning for Indian entities
investing or raising finance in the UK and vice versa
- Key assignments/client include
- Sports Direct International Plc £2.2bn float on main
market
- Eros International plc £176mn float on AIM
- £465mn disposal of HBOS and Cannon Capital of its interest in
Ashbourne Healthcare
